Digbeth Dining Club is back! After a well-earned winter break the City’s guilty pleasure returns to Spotlight, just behind the Custard Factory in Digbeth. We thought it was about time to explain why this event is so good and why you will go back again and again, once you have managed to find it in the first place.
The community spirit at DDC is immense. I have seen people hook up in the queue, chatted about Moshi Monsters for half an hour (still no idea what they are) and seen everyone, customers and traders, pull together when things need to be done. We go there to catch up with friends as much as to sell our food, and even in the rain people come out.
The food. This is the bit you want to hear about. Firstly, you get some of the region’s best street food there. We have been coming since the start, and we keep coming back. Better than that, though – because this is a crowd who come for the food and stay for the vibes, you get experimental food here as well. Challenges, super hot, massive, crazy and delicious are all the order of the day. We bring dishes to DDC that we have never sold to the public before, and get to show them off there.
There are very few events that are great for customers and traders; this is one of the reasons why we started Scoff, but DDC is of those events that makes everyone happy. Providing you can find it.
Starts this Friday from 5:30 pm with a line-up of mouth-wateringly good food, scroll for details!
Can’t make it out to Birmingham? No problem, the Warwickshire contingent can catch The Hungry Toad doing their fantastic burritos with Scoff @ the Cask and Bottle, Leamington Spa on Saturday.
