The Jabberwocky serves gourmet toasties from a characterful VW LT31 based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. Flic and Barny started the company in 2011, when they suddenly realised that proper jobs were never going to make them happy in the same way street food does.
House specialities include the Manwich, an epic triple decker toastie complete with a cooked to order, 28 day aged steak in the middle and enough cheese to make a Carry On film.
They’re veterans of the festival scene, love a good street food market and are strangely obsessed with 90s movie quotes.
Cheddar from Fowlers of Earlswood, bread from Wellesbourne and Beef from Ettington, all of which can be found in the Warwickshire countryside.
No plastic packaging is used, food is never wasted and all the bags and napkins are compost-able.
Freshly baked bread is the only kind allowed into the Jabberwocky kitchen, along with fresh meats and cheeses. If it tastes right then it sells itself.
Toasties are cooked on a one-off press designed and manufactured by Barny’s Dad. You actually cannot get another toastie like this anywhere in the world!
